The literature unit provides a more in-depth study of non-fiction. Students will read contemporary non-fiction books as part of book groups and as independent choice books.

English 10B includes a unit in media literacy which emphasizes news analysis, television and film production, and advertising. Research techniques continue with stress placed on written communications.  An all-class novel will provide an opportunity to review the elements of fiction.
