Based on Greek and Latin terms, the medical field has a language of its own. This standardized means of communication within the practice of medicine and within the healthcare industry allows for a consistent, clear, and concise universal language. Prefixes, suffixes, and root words are an emphasis for learning. Students practice formation, analysis, and reconstruction of terms related to the body systems.
