11th Grade Orchestra

Continue skills on violin, viola, cello, and string bass by performing 3 and 3.5 string orchestra literature.  Focus will be on playing technique, 5th position and 3 octave scales.  Learn advanced musicianship, ensemble playing, theory and history through small group lessons and ensemble rehearsals.  Perform a required concert each quarter, as well as the Ice Cream Social, the Holiday Concert and Graduation.  All students prepare for, and are encouraged to perform at Solo/Ensemble Festival.  Students will furnish their own instrument, supplies, folder, and lesson book.
