NOTE:  The science department offers three different introductory physics courses.  Students must take a course in physics and can choose from:  Basic Physics (quarter long), General Physics (two quarters long), or AP Physics (two quarters long).  Please read the course descriptions carefully, or see your current science teacher for a recommendation.


General Physics is a two quarter introductory physics course covering the areas of motion, forces, momentum, energy, and waves. It is designed for students who plan to continue their education after high school, though graduates who immediately enter the job market will also find physics beneficial.
