If you want to solve the world’s problems, this is the class for you! AP Seminar encourages students to explore real-world problems by analyzing articles, research studies, and a variety of texts. Working individually and as part of a team, students will learn to synthesize information from multiple sources, develop their own perspectives, and create and deliver oral and visual presentations. Ultimately, the course aims to equip students with the power to analyze and evaluate information with accuracy and precision in order to craft and communicate evidence-based arguments. Students may earn college credit by successfully completing three parts of an AP Seminar exam, two of which occur during the school year. Students are required to take the AP Exam.  Students are cautioned that in order to succeed in AP Seminar, they must be self-motivated and be able to carry the workload of a typical college class. This class replaces English 10A, English 10B, and Communications.
