Oil paints on wood, glossy photo paper 16” x 20” (February 2020)
This piece was inspired by Wes Anderson and uses a house from his film, “Moonrise Kingdom”. I am drawn to Anderson’s aesthetic, and enjoy the houses that appear in his movies. This painting combines a comforting Wes Anderson house with my clouds to strengthen the relationship between my themes of home and nature. This painting is also an example of my efforts to challenge my viewer to find safety in this welcoming home, amongst storming clouds.
