The portrait is of my friend, Mazai, as he himself was painting a portrait of me. It exhibits the malleability of a subject across artists.I wanted to play with the line between reality and artificiality. Although the subject is recognizable as someone I know, the unnatural highlights and size of the eyes make him look mannequin like.
