Ink on bristol board 76x103cm May 2019

For this piece I wanted to show parts of my identity, places of importance to me and the exploration of something complex yet at the same time very simple. I was greatly influenced by the New York City skyline, however, I was able to stray away from those borders of precise buildings and structures through my use of ink. The varying lines and patterns that I was able to create with ink helped show my love for the city. Using ink in this piece allowed me to exhibit a feeling of fluidity and a more natural look as there was room for experimentation and mistakes within the medium.
