Volcano

This piece to me was all about depth. While making it, I was truly trying to portray a scene that the viewer would peer into. There are about 5 subtle layers in the scene, all on a very small piece of paper. I think overall my intention was overshadowed by the intense contrast between the red and the black, and the almost cartoonish look of the lake and the volcano.
