The Bigger Picture

This is a sunset in Montana. I went to Montana to compete in the Junior Olympics of Eventing, a discipline of horseback riding, but never got to complete it due to medical reasons. Even though there are clouds, some thick and dark, to me it doesn’t feel ominous. It’s symbolic of how though disappointing, there are still aspects of that competition I can appreciate. That line of blue and yellow sky, separating the dark halves of the clouds and mountains, represent the silver lining I have found.
