In this piece, similar to my other star piece, I focused on incorporating a repetitive symbol into a photograph of a calming and serene place for me. The use of a square canvas allowed for me to experiment with the formation of the whole and cut up versions of the 5x7 images. The purpose of this piece is to exhibit themes of serenity, comfort and nature and show the escape from reality in such a aesthetically pleasing place as the beach.
