This piece explores the concept of home. I chose to create a repeating pattern to make the viewer feel comfortable. I was inspired by toile wallpapers, a common motif in American homes, in my delicate lines and intricate details. I broke from the traditional toile by including images of rabbits in the pattern, adding playfulness and an element of childlike fantasy. The intense work and care put into this piece translate in its scale and detail.
