For this piece I wanted to mimic something that I had always had a passion for which was doodling flowers. I was drawn to the calming process of drawing flowers that varied in size, type of flower and number of petals. The purpose of this piece is to convey a sense of serenity through a depiction of nature. My use of a pale palette and a small canvas allowed for there to be an intimate feeling between the viewer and the piece supporting my theme of serenity.
