One, Two
One, Two
Silkscreen print on paper, 90x42, January 2019
While doing the background silkscreen print for The Sister, I became interested in the color fields that the silkscreen created. By applying ink unevenly to the silkscreen, I could use a variety of shades of the same color to create abstract images. Much like the Mark Rothko paintings that inspired me, the piece intends to capture beauty while remaining unsettling. The piece is titled One, Two, to indicate that while visually complex, the process behind the piece was quite automatic.
