The Discovery

This piece explores the impression of pervasive images of sex and violence on the young mind. The images came from a variety of magazines. Rather than tell a unified story, each image contains a message which loosely complements the messages of the surrounding images. I arranged the images according to their formal qualities, such as color and pattern. My choice to turn the collage into a digital image also enabled me to smooth various imperfections, promoting the overall cohesion of the piece.
