Oil Paint 18 x 24 Inches February 11, 2019

I used oil paints to make lifelike colors and to not drip onto undesired parts of the canvas unless I made them do so by mixing them with a lot of water. I emphasized the face by arranging the composition so it would be in the center, and placing a white border around myself, in front of a bland brown that makes the face look more interesting in contrast. The face is also emphasized by the neck, which is more transparent than the face and drips away at the bottom.
