I am planning to offer FREE ‘Google Meet’ online classes to share ‘Counting breaths meditation’. It’s an easy way to meditate every day without needing to take time off. I have been practicing it for 25 years and have shared it with over 1,800 people, from children to seniors over 90 so far, and continue to teach it.
The article “Who said meditating every day is difficult?” (PDF) will be our guide. I will explain and demonstrate the ‘Feeling mode’ and ‘Counting mode’. We will practice it together. Then, you will practice independently.
We will discuss at what times you can practice this meditation while going about your daily activities:
(a) to fall asleep, and to go back to sleep if you wake up in the night.
(b) Upon waking up in the morning, until getting out of bed
(c) during the day: when waiting at stoplights or in a line, feeling anxious, stressed, or distracted, walking, doing desk work, cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc.
You will carry home a calming experience that you can recreate whenever you need it.
Duration: 1 1/2 hours.
You can meditate on your own after the first class, utilizing the resources on my website.
Additional classes (Optional): These are for the new participants and those who want to repeat the introductory class. They are to check in on your practice and help you develop the habit of daily meditation for lifelong benefits.
Participants will be requested to evaluate the class on a four-question survey.
Private classes are available to individuals, families including children, and like-minded groups.
I can offer weekly classes between 10 am and 8 pm EST, most days of the week, irrespective of the number of participants. The days and times of the classes will be decided to suit the majority of the respondents.
