Imagine a soccer game going on. Two entities are very active in the field. One entity is the players and the second is the ball. Both are very busy. Of course, the referee is as busy as the players. and many in the audience.
The players focus on the other team's goalpost into which they want to kick the ball. They always focus on the ball. They are always trying to kick the ball towards the opposite goalpost. At the same time, they are trying to prevent it from entering their goalpost.
They recognize their teammate positions at every moment. They are very creative in passing the ball to their team, dodging the other team.
Now look at the second busy entity, the ball. It is also moving non-stop. But what a different kind of movement!
It knows no goal. It can't choose its path. It is waiting for some player to kick it. If no player kicks, it sits on the ground and waits for a player to kick it. It will go in any direction a player kicks it.
Some lives move in the well-worn groove of daily activities. They wait for an outside stimulus to push them out of the groove.
We may live under the illusion of being a ball whereas we are born to be a player. Can we act like a player, choose our goals, and channel our resources to reach our goals?
What are our resources?
They are physical, mental, and emotional fitness, time, money, motivation, and others willing to help us.
