Trimble ID SSO
CRITICAL NOTE
These instructions are ONLY applicable for customers who are on versions of Vista older than 2024r1, such as 2023r2, 2023r1, etc.
AND
who have not undergone a migration to DIRECT Trimble ID logins.
If you are on Vista version 2024r1 or higher and are not sure whether or not you have moved to DIRECT Trimble ID logins, please reach out to your local IT administrator or your Trimble cloud support representative.
IMPORTANT
These instructions walk a user with Vista access through how to log in to Vista using Trimble ID SSO, once their account has been migrated into Trimble ID SSO as per the steps in this article: The Three Steps to SSO Joy - Setting up Trimble ID SSO
For steps on how to log in to the Vista Web (i.e. HFF or Keystyle) portal using Trimble ID SSO, please see this other FAQ article: Logging in to Vista Web (HFF / Keystyle) - Via Trimble ID SSO
Author: Eric Vasbinder
Until early 2022, Viewpoint used a method for cloud user login that leveraged a third-party middleware known as CloudWorkspace. Customer admins would create user accounts in CloudWorkspace, which would then enable our cloud's internal Active Directory (AD) to then provide accounts for Vista for login. With the advent of first Viewpoint ID SSO and now Trimble ID SSO, the legacy CloudWorkspace method is no longer the primary method for user authentication in our cloud. However, some customers still use this method in our cloud. For more information on setting up and logging in via this legacy method, please see this cloud FAQ article: Logging In - Via Legacy CloudWorkspace Method
Please note that legacy login method customers will slowly transition to Trimble ID SSO over time.
For all other users who are using our Trimble ID SSO method, please see below for detailed login steps.
IMPORTANT
Logging in to Vista ALWAYS requires that you have downloaded and installed the Vista rich client and then configured it to point to the proper server name in our cloud. This MUST be done PRIOR to attempting to login.
Please see this cloud FAQ article for instructions on how to download and install and configure the Vista rich client to connect to your cloud Vista server:
Download and install the Vista rich client on your local workstation if you have not already done so.
Open the Vista client, then click on the "Login with Viewpoint ID" blue button
It may be renamed to "Login with Trimble ID" in a future Vista version.

3. A web page will open, redirecting you to the Trimble ID login page.
4. Please login to Trimble ID.
5. Once logged in to Trimble ID, you will be redirected back to the Vista rich client.
You may log in to Vista using Trimble ID SSO either starting from the Trimble Construction One (TC1) portal, or by starting from Vista itself. Whichever method you choose depends on your personal preference and where you like to start out your day.
NOTE: You may be presented with a web browser dialog the first time you choose these options, asking if the web site should be able to open the ViewpointURILauncher application. Please click either both "Always allow..." and "Open" if you wish to not be asked this question again, or just click "Open". If you click cancel, Vista will fail to open.
The preferred method to access all Trimble Construction One tools is to start from your main home page in Trimble Construction One (TC1).
First, please browse to https://team.viewpoint.com
NOTE: You may already be logged in to this site as one of the first places you browse to during the work day.

Please note that if you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) set up for your TC1 account, you will be prompted for an MFA code. Please enter it to finish the login process.
If you already have the Vista client open, you may log in to Vista with Trimble ID SSO from here, rather than going to the portal first.
