How do my end users reset their passwords in your cloud?
Legacy CloudWorkspace Method
Author: Eric Vasbinder
NOTE: This method is not necessary for customers who use our Trimble ID or Viewpoint ID systems for authentication WITH VRL.
Moving to one of these systems will usually simplify authentication, as you will soon be able to federate our Trimble ID with your Azure AD for full SSO. This will also eventually enable using your own, standard AD accounts for logins to our cloud.
If you are using RDP for any reason (e.g. performance issues with a high latency connection over VRL), you will need to log in to your RDP session, using "CloudWorkspace" credentials.
There are three options for resetting passwords in our cloud for customers who are not using our Viewpoint ID / SSO system:
(PREFERRED) Viewpoint has a password reset page that allows for end users to self-reset their own passwords: https://viewpoint.partner.manage.cloudworkspace.com/forgot-password
Please note, for security reasons, we require that either the user's cell phone number or email address be entered into our management portal for your account PRIOR to performing the password reset. If those are not in your account's management portal, this page will not work.
Your customer administrator can reset the password for your end user.

Password Requirements
*Remember, passwords must have three of the following:
Capital Letter
Lowercase letter
Number
Punctuation Character
Self-Password Reset Page
The following instructions are our preferred, step-by-step instructions for end-users to reset their own passwords.
Browse to https://viewpoint.partner.manage.cloudworkspace.com/forgot-password
Enter your username with the at sign, followed by your company's company identifier in the username field (this is usually your email address)
For example, jsmith@company.com
NOTE: In some cases, your company identifier is the domain name for another company, such as a parent company, instead of your domain name. Only ONE company identifier may be used for any single instance in our cloud. Thus, if your parent company signed you up for our cloud, your username will be in the form of "username@parentcompany.com", rather than your own.
Choose whether you would like to have your verification code sent to you via Email or SMS text message
NOTE: SMS texts will only work if your mobile phone number has been added to Viewpoint's cloud portal.
Click the "Send Code" button.
5. You will then receive a confirmation code in your email. Please check your spam folder to ensure that it was received. Copy the confirmation code into your clipboard and paste it into the following screen.
6. Enter your new password twice: once in the new password box and once in the confirm password box.
7. Click the "Reset Password" button.
Beyond Self-Password Resetting
There are two additional ways that our user's passwords may be reset, beyond having users reset their own passwords:
The Cloud Administrator can reset passwords individually for each user
The Cloud Admin is a customer IT contact who has been granted rights to log in to the CloudWorkspace portal to perform user management operations.
Viewpoint has a program to reset all user passwords at once

Added note on SSO, and one to clarify that company identifiers are what is used for user names in our non-SSO authentication setups, not email addresses per se; thus your login name may, in some cases, not be your email address.
