Oftentimes customers have workflow processes that generate extremely large files, such as PDFs, that need to be handled by Vista. Whether through email attachments or attaching to records using Vista VRL, these files can sometimes be so large that they encounter a standard built-in limit of 30mb for file system attachments. Since we need to pass on file storage costs from Microsoft, we keep the default limit at 30mb per attachment or emailed document.
However, there is a method we can use on a per-request basis to have email and VRL attachment size limits increased. Please read below for the details.
Create a cloud support ticket.
In the ticket, please request for cloud support to use the "Vista Config Utility" to change the "Max Email Attachment Size" setting to be 100mb.
IMPORTANT: We do not recommend increasing the attachment size limit beyond 100mb for performance and stability reasons. If you are routinely bumping up against even a 100mb limit, or would like to decrease the size of your attachments to reduce costs, please use the techniques described in the following cloud FAQ article to reduce your attachment sizes: Optimizing Attachment Size
