Product Use Case:
This solution is a billing and payment software that allows general contractors and subcontractors to send, receive, review, and track pay applications, lien waivers, compliance documents and payments. General contractors invite subcontractors to invoice for subcontract through Trimble Pay (formerly Flashtract). When subcontractors invoice, pre determined billing requirements are auto-populate or collected from subcontractors. Invoices are electronically routed through approval workflows where the general contractor can review, decline, and approve billings. After an approval is made, approved AP invoice data is forwarded to an accounting or ERP system, such as Vista.

ERP Connection Overview:
This tool connects to the Vista database but, rather than connecting directly, this tool leverages a separate connection to the Trimble AppXchange cloud. Thus, as long as a customer has AppXchange installed and connected to Vista, setting up this integration is fairly straightforward.
Deployment Methodology:
This product consists of a connector via REST APIs to the AppXchange cloud. AppXchange then connects to Vista using its standard ODBC connector agent, which is hosted in the Viewpoint cloud directly. If AppXchange is not already installed and configured, please reach out to the Viewpoint cloud support team via a support ticket to begin the process of connecting AppXchange to Vista.
Detailed Instructions:
Customer and Viewpoint: Validate if AppXchange is installed either in Viewpoint's cloud or our externally (often the case if the customer is moving to the cloud for Vista hosting as part of an ERP transformation to Trimble Construction One (TC1).
Customer and Viewpoint: Install and configure AppXchange agent in customer's cloud environment. Customer to provide activation key for AppXchange as needed.
Customer, Trimble AppXchange and Trimble Pay Teams: Coordinate to enable connectivity through AppXchange cloud.
tl;dr: This connection is enabled by leveraging Trimble's AppXchange (formerly Ryvit). AppXchange MUST be installed in customer's TC1 ERP Cloud environment. Once AppXchange is connected to Vista, the customer may work with Trimble AppXchange and Trimble Pay directly to set up integration.
