Often when a customer wishes to move into our TC1 cloud they have a number of associated, client – side applications that must continue to connect to the Vista database or which are part of the overall Vista solution. For example, Bluebeam for reviewing drawings, Insight Software's Spreadsheet Server, Crystal Reports Designer for editing and building Crystal reports, and others.
When moving into our TC1 cloud, which has no ability to host third-party applications, customers may be concerned about how they can digest such a deployment model, especially if they do not have an existing Microsoft Azure footprint.
To that end, our customers have partnered with LoadSpring (https://www.loadspring.com/) in the past to provide hosting of their third-party applications when they move into our Trimble TC1 cloud.
This may be a good option for you in a number of scenarios. Here are a few examples in a nonexhaustive list:
You have no desire to have client-side applications on your local workstations
If you are transitioning from our VFC cloud (which allowed for the hosting of third-party client-side applications) to our newer, TC1 cloud
If you are moving to a thin client deployment model and do not wish to personally manage the thin client infrastructure such as Azure Virtual Desktop
