If you are using our older, RDP method to access Vista in our cloud, you should know that there are several ways to access Vista hosted over RDP Published apps. The first, our preferred RDP method, is to use the published apps / Remote Apps feed built-in to the Windows control panel, and also available via the Microsoft Remote Desktop app for macOS. You can set this up using this method here: How do I add the VEC+RDP (RDP Published Apps / RemoteApps Feed) to Windows?
On the other hand, if you are looking for a quick and simple way to open Vista, or other apps hosted in your RDP Vista cloud environment, you can do so by going to a web portal instead.
Step
1. Go to the remote apps portal that Viewpoint sent to you. It uses a combination of the overall URL with your company-specific, 4-5 character randomized company code. Here is what it might look like: https://ra.viewpointcloud.net/CODE/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx (Replace CODE with your company's code from Viewpoint).
2. Once you are at the portal login, use the full username and password credentials that we have supplied to you to log in.

3. You will then be presented with the main login portal for your cloud hosted, RDP-delivered applications. Choose the client application that you would like to use and click on it.

4. You will then see a windows that asks whether to save the .RDP pointer file, or to open it. Choose to open it, but make certain that Remote Desktop Connection is selected to the right of the "Open With" option. If you need to save it, you can, but you will then need to browse to the newly saved .RDP file and double-click on it to open it.

5. Once it has been opened, you might see a security certificate dialog like the below. If you do see this dialog, check to see if the domain name of the publisher matches the domain name of the remote computer and gateway computer. If they do not, please contact your administrator or Viewpoint support. If they do match, then click continue or check the checkbox and then click Continue. In this case, all three have the domain name "viewpointcloud.net", so we're good and we will proceed.

6. You will now see a login dialog. You'll need to enter in your Viewpoint Vista RDP Cloud credentials here. The login name should be in the format of "emailname@companydomain.com".

7. Now the system will create the RDP connection to the terminal server in the Viewpoint Vista RDP cloud.

8. Once the connection is stood up, you'll see a notification from Windows in the bottom-right hand corner of your screen.

9. You'll then see your application start up. Since you are logging in using our RDP method, if it is Vista, please make sure you click on "Use Windows Login", then enter your credentials.
ENJOY!
