Aquifer's cloud solution is a bi-directional data integration platform allowing customers to sync data between systems and gather data in one place to power analytics.
This product is similar to and competes with other data integration and analytics platforms and has a minimal overlap with Trimble Viewpoint's DataXchange and Viewpoint Analytics.
This integration uses MANUAL import files and ODBC to connect to Vista, whereas Spectrum connectivity is enabled via SFTP and the TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN).
We do not support hosting of this product in our cloud; this is a multi-tenant cloud-native solution hosted in the vendor's cloud infrastructure.
The integration will be enabled by the use of either the TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) (PREFERRED) or IPSEC VPN for Vista customers or the TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) and SFTP for Spectrum customers.
tl;dr: Customers who need to integrate Aquifer with either Vista or Spectrum will need to coordinate with Aquifer to set up either a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) or IPSEC VPN if the customer is using Vista, or SFTP and a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) if they are using our Spectrum ERP.
