Applicable ERP Clouds:
Vista
It is critical for customers of our Vista ERP to understand the release timing and support specifics for our solutions, especially now that most customers are either hosted in our cloud already, or will be moving into our cloud for their Vista ERP over the next year or so.
To that end, the Vista team has a number of specific updates to share in regards to several important items, including:
Vista release cadence and frequency
Vista and Cloud support timeframes
Vista Defect Fix timing
Vista Year End Regulatory Release Support
Please see below for more details.
As you may already know, up until 2025, the Vista engineering team would target to release 2 versions of Vista per year: one in the spring in North America and one in the fall. However, starting with 2025, as part of our efforts to increase the speed with which we could make new features and bug fixes available, we changed the release cadence to be every other month. As such, we had releases in February, April, June, etc., finishing up with 2025.12 at the end of last year. This new, much more rapid cadence had some benefits, however, we found that there was a significant need to adjust the timing of those releases to allow our customers to more easily adapt to and test these newer versions.
To that end, starting in 2026, we will be targeting to release a new version of Vista every three months. Please note that though we CANNOT guarantee a specific release date or timing for each individual release, we can say that we are slowing down our release cadence slightly to allow for more time for our customers to consume each new release.
One of the most critical elements of our customers success in the knowledge that if anything goes wrong or if they have questions about our solutions that they can reach out to our support and cloud teams to receive assistance. In the past, we have only supported the current version of Vista and one version back.
However, due to the new, more rapid, release schedule for Vista, we are expanding the length of time through which we will support Vista versions. Going forward, we will be supporting an entire year's worth of Vista releases in both our support organization, as well as for cloud hosting. This means that a standard customer using an ad-hoc upgrade schedule, or an ESB customer with off cycle upgrades, could, after significant testing, roll out the first release of Vista from 2026 in mid-year. It also means that our support organization will provide assistance and guidance for any version of Vista released in that year.
Please note that, however, there is a significant caveat to the breadth of this support, as you can see in the next section that touches on defect fixes.
Vista Defect Fix and Patches
A significant change to our releAny issues that arise with Vista that require bug fixes or defects will be targeted to be fixed in a subsequent release. There
