When customers wish to provide time keeping and tracking for their field crews.
This time keeping solution is similar to and has overlap with a number of solutions such as Trimble's Field Management, B2W Track, About Time, and others.
This integration uses import files and ODBC to connect to Vista. The actual ODBC data flows are enabled through external requests that come from outside of the Trimble Viewpoint cloud.
We do not support hosting of this product in our cloud; this is a solution either hosted in the vendor's cloud infrastructure or in a customer's dedicated network.
The integration will be enabled by the use of a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) the third party or customer cloud. In addition, a SQL Service Account will be necessary for the solution to authenticate to the Vista database and read and write master data (e.g. jobs, phase codes, etc.) when necessary.
tl;dr: This solution uses BOTH ODBC and file import connectivity into Vista. For ODBC, a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) is recommended. The files that are exported from mJobTime contain time data for import into Vista using manual IM file imports.

Updated to show that mJobTime uses ODBC to query Master Data (e.g. jobs, phase codes, etc.) from Vista and then generates files for manual import into Vista.
