Support Status: PENDING SECURITY APPROVAL
Integration Method: ODBC direct from Ryvit
Connection Method: Leverages Ryvit as middleware connector to Vista
Delivery Method: Third party cloud connection to Ryvit Cloud
Hosted: NO
Additional Charge: NO
REMINDER: THIS INTEGRATION LEVERAGES ANOTHER TRIMBLE VIEWPOINT SOLUTION - RYVIT. THUS, RYVIT MUST BE INSTALLED AND CONNECTED TO VISTA. RYVIT MAY BE HOSTED IN THE CUSTOMER'S VIEWPOINT ENVIRONMENT OR EXTERNALLY.
Product Use Case:
This solution is a mobile operations management solution, which includes scheduling, dispatching, resource management, invoicing, quoting, and asset management.
Similar Products:
This product contains functionality similar to solutions such as Trimble Viewpoint Field Management, Field Service, and Team Project Management
ERP Connection Overview:
This tool connects to the Vista database but, rather than connecting directly, this tool leverages a separate connection to Ryvit's cloud. Thus, as long as a customer has Ryvit installed and connected to Vista, setting up this integration is fairly straightforward.
Deployment Methodology:
This product consists of a connector via REST APIs to the Ryvit cloud. Ryvit then connects to Vista using its standard ODBC connector agent, which may reside either externally to Viewpoint's cloud (connected over a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) or IPSEC VPN) or hosted in the Viewpoint cloud directly. If Ryvit is not already installed and configured, please reach out to the Viewpoint cloud support team via a support ticket to begin the process of connecting Ryvit to Vista.
Detailed Instructions:
Customer and Viewpoint: Validate if Ryvit is installed either in Viewpoint's cloud or in an external location. If in a customer environment, does it have connectivity to Vista over a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) or an IPSEC tunnel?
Customer, Partner, and/or Viewpoint: Install and configure Ryvit as needed.
Customer, Ryvit, and Partner: Coordinate to enable connectivity through Ryvit's cloud.
tl;dr: This connection is enabled by leveraging Ryvit. Ryvit MUST be connected to Vista in the cloud. Once Ryvit is connected to Vista, the customer may work with Ryvit and BuildOps directly to set up integration.

Updated to show that Ryvit hosting in our cloud, as Ryvit is now a Trimble product, is no longer "unpreferred".
