Integration via Agave API
Author: Eric Vasbinder
Support Status: Approved
Integration Method: ODBC direct from Agave API
Connection Method: Leverages Agave API as middleware connector to Vista
Delivery Method: Third party cloud connection to Agave API
Hosted: Not Directly
Additional Charge: NO
REMINDER: THIS INTEGRATION LEVERAGES ANOTHER THIRD PARTY AS MIDDLEWARE - Agave API. THUS, A CONNECTION TO AGAVE MUST BE SET UP OVER A TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) or an IPSEC VPN AND CONNECTED TO VISTA. AGAVE IS HOSTED EXTERNALLY IN THE VENDOR'S CLOUD ENVIRONMENT.
Product Use Case:
This solution is a field materials tracking and operations software packages. Field workers can use the Field Materials mobile app to request materials and equipment, see orders status, and receive orders (including reporting issues and uploading delivery slips). Project Managers, purchasers, and AP professionals can use the web application variant to review orders, assign them to vendors, request and review quotes, track orders against quotes, and automate invoice verification.

ERP Connection Overview:
This tool connects to the Vista database but, rather than connecting directly, this tool leverages a separate connection to Agave's cloud. Thus, as long as a customer has Agave connected to Vista, setting up this integration is fairly straightforward.
Deployment Methodology:
This product consists of a connector via REST APIs to the Agave cloud. Agave then connects to Vista using ODBC, with their connection originating from their Agave cloud environment.
Detailed Instructions:
Customer and Viewpoint: Validate if Agave is connected to the Vista cloud environment using either a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) or an IPSEC tunnel.
Customer, Partner, Agave, and/or Viewpoint: Connect Agave as needed.
Customer, Agave, and Field Materials: Coordinate to enable connectivity through Agave's cloud.
tl;dr: This connection is enabled by leveraging Agave API. Agave API MUST be connected to Vista in the cloud using a TLS Database Endpoint (TLS VPN) or an IPSEC VPN. Once Agave is connected to Vista, the customer may work with Agave and this vendor directly to set up integration.
