Description:
Client-side file synchronization tools, such as OneDrive, Box, and Dropbox are powerful tools. Unfortunately, there have been significant technical issues with the hosting of these types of solutions in our RDP Published App (remote app)-based cloud, known as Viewpoint Enterprise Cloud (VEC). As such, we do NOT support hosting these client-side apps in VEC, OR in the Terminal Services backup for VP1/TC1. These apps are supported for our older RDP-based DaaS environment, known as Viewpoint for Cloud (VFC). In addition, users may continue to install them on their local workstations when running our Vista over our Vista Remote Link (VRL) mechanism.
In many cases, these tools are unstable in any terminal services environment due to the use of broker server to load-balance terminal server sessions, as well as how terminal servers handle user profiles with published apps, vs. Virtual Desktops.
Customers who need to use these tools should consider migrating to the use of our newer VRL-based cloud delivery for Vista. In this method, customers host all client-side apps on their local workstations directly, avoiding any issues with hosting them via RDP published apps.
tl;dr: Customers cannot use client-side file synchronization tools in our VEC RDP (Published Applications) cloud. VFC still supports hosting these tools in a terminal server, but your performance may vary as per notes above. We highly recommend using our VRL-based connection method so that you can host these tools on your local workstation instead.

Referenced VFC being different and still supporting these tools. Also clarified WHY these tools are not supported.
