4 Balraa

Day-4 Dec-23 : Vaidyakot - Duni-Vinayak Top 2733M - Sambhu River (2069M) - Balraa Village 2370M 14km

At 9:00am after a breakfast of Puri-Aloo we set out on the day's trek starting with a steep climb of 700M over many bugyals and ridges. We finally reached the Duni-Vinayak pass ridge at 11:45am and rested a while at the bugyal on the saddle. The we started climbing down steeply to the Sambhu river to go across to the opposite valley. We finally reached the river bridge at 3PM. And we now had another steep climb of 300M reach Balraa Village. After a tiring climb we reached Balraa at 4:45Pm

We got a nice Panchayat G/H to stay here. It had 2 bedrooms and nice big Hall in front and a front yard. And surprise, squat toilets across the front yard! Nice place Balraa. We should have taken an extra day rest here - but we didn't - and regretted that after 2-3 days at Himni.
