Background
After a missing Nepal Teahouse Treks for nearly y 20 months (due to Corona), I heard Nepal is finally opening up entry for Trekkers, with less restrictions . So I decided to go and do the Mardi Himal Trek (that was originally planned for March 2020) in November 2021. Talked to my Nepal Trek Agent - Suman Neupane - and arranged to do this trek between 2-17 November 2021. And so I landed in Kathmandu on 2nd Nov on a Nepal Airlines flight from Delhi with appropriate Final Vaccination Certificates and the 48Hr RT-PCR Report as required by Nepal Health Authorities.
Trek Summary:
My porter for this trek was Chandra (of Baseri village); he looked like Federer to me! He was quite adjusting to my slow pace and always followed me close behind and never went ahead!
This entire trek got done in near 'perfect' fashion and the weather was great; sunny, but cool was perfect for hiking. Never got rain or snow while walking.
It took me 5 days to reach "High Camp" from Phedi and then I climbed to "View Point" on the 6th day and then returning down to Badal-danda for night-stay. It was an awesome and perfect weather trek throughout. Being "Tihar" holidays in Nepal there were lots of young Nepali Trekkers along the way .
