Intro:

Sadanand Kamath (SK, with whom I have done 7-8 treks so far) has been talking about doing the Dayara-Dodital trek for past several years now. But the Cloudburst over Assi-Ganga of 3rd Aug 2012 and resulting damages particularly at Sangam-Chatti delayed our plan to do this this trek. So in April, while discussing our trek plan for summer 2015, when SK suggested we do the Dodital-Dayara kept pending for last 3-4 years, I quickly agreed and requested him to make all bookings and arrangements; while I was away for 6 weeks (on a family visit to US) so we could do this trek when I got back.

SK fixed this trek through Sonu Bisht (our old Joshimath based Guide) and so we landed up at Bhandari Hotel on 23rd May, exactly as planned and met up with Sonu. Sonu told us there that he can be with us only for the first part of the trek i.e. till 28th May (due to some other trek commitment he had from 29th May) and so he has organised with a local Guide (Rajesh Panwar of Agoda's Bharat Lodge) to be with us for the whole trip.

And thus our Itinerary also got changed i.e. instead of starting with Barsu & Dayara first, we started with Sangam-Chatti & Agoda for Dodital first; in order to pick up Porters, Tent etc from Agoda Village. Our 'actual' itinerary, with timings and distances, is shown in the footer below.

Day-wise trek details are in the sub-page links shown in the box below. For a comprehensive trek story do read SK's blog. I will post that link here, after he finishes writing that.
