06 Pachmarhi

MP Tour

Pachmarhi is a hill-station in central Madhya Pradesh, at an altitude of 1067 M, in the Satpura National Park. There are fine views overlooking the surrounding forests and hilly terrain here

7th December 2006 - I left Bhopal at 6:15 am and drove down NH-12 to Obaidullahganj and then NH-69 to Hoshangabad & Pipariya & south to Panchmarhi. The road beyond Hoshangabad was excellent, all the way to Pachmarhi. I reached at 11:15 am and after some looking around, took a room in Amrapali Hotel at Rs 300/- per day.

Later in the afternoon and whole of next day (8-Dec-2005) toured all the Pachmarhi sights taking a local guide with me in the car.

The pictures below and opposite show some of the temples, caves and other sights in Pachmarhi.
