Indicator in Acids and Bases shows the pH of a solution.
Litmus goes Red when the pH < 7 and Blue when the pH > 7
Methyl Orange Indicator,
Pink when the pH is 4.4 - 7
& Orange when the pH is > 7
So it is Orange in the Base
and it turns Pink when Neutral! ! !
For a fair test
All Measurements must be the same!!!

a plastic dropper
2/ WATER ??
20ml - 60ml ??
Measuring cylinder

How much Indicator do I add??
What do I need the indicator for ??
To see the colour change!
Drop by drop until I can see the colour!!!

Now add the Acid!
From the Burette!
What level does the acid start at ??
0 zero, the acid must be at the top!!!
Drop by drop add the acid
until the colour changes, swirling as you go!!
Take a note of the volume of acid that you used!
& Start again!
Do each one 3 times, wash out the conical flask !
