The Metagene Cover and Control Agency (MCCA) was a secret U.S. governmental agency responsible for monitoring all known people in the U.S. with an active metagene. The MCCA routinely captured metahumans and delivered them to TriVext Corporation, a genetics research firm contracted by the U.S. government to study the metagene. The MCCA would also kill any metahumans who were too dangerous or difficult to control.
Amongst the high-ranking leaders in the MCCA was General Gerald Forrest. The MCCA's most prominent agent was Special Agent Turner.
