by I'm Not Mister Mxyptlk, Tobias Christopher and T5
"Whooops," Mick Harrison said to himself as he realized what he just said. If they succeeded and changed the future, Danny Hearn would be no more.
Mick was no expert on this stuff, but as he walked out of the caravan he started thinking and realized Danny would either disappear or... change. So when the moment came, either the whole team died, or Danny would.
Mick was wearing nothing but a shirt and boxers, so he soon started feeling really cold. He noticed the light in Tobias Christopher's and Naecken's caravan was on, and, since he wanted to let Danny alone for a while, he decided to pay them a visit.
Entering, he said, "Hi, there--" Naecken was not there, and Tobias was... well, kinda drunk. "--oh. Uh... I'll just go."
Tobias said, "No, stay."
"Okeeey..." He should have guessed it. Naecken obviously didn't rest like anyone else, so it was obvious that he wouldn't be here now. And Mick already knew how Tobias felt about Christmas, so it was obvious that he would be drinking by now.
Mick noticed he wasn't really drunk, but he had consumed a lot of alcohol, as the bottles on the floor show. Maybe by growing up in the streets Tobias became more used to alcohol than him, Mick thought. Or maybe it had something to do with his metabolism.
"So, why are you here?" Tobias asked.
"I decided to leave Danny alone for a moment," Mick began.
"Why?"
Mick said, "I don't really wanna discuss it."
"C'mon, if you're gonna be here, at least humor me," Tobias said.
"Okay, okay... but you can't tell anyone." Mick told Tobias what Danny remembered about the team, about how they would all die in about a year according to history books.
"Whoa," said Tobias. "Are you sure it was us?"
Mick nodded. "Yes, they referred to us as 'Revolutionaries'... that fits us, right?"
Tobias thought about it. "'Revolutionaries'... yes, you're probably right."
"Okay, I'm gonna leave now," Mick said, "but remember -- DON'T TELL ANYONE! I don't think creating panic will do any good."
"Hey, who am I gonna tell?" asked Tobias. "Naecken? He's been weirder than usual since the fight with the shadow thing."
"Great. Bye."
"Bye," said Tobias.
Two seconds after Mick went back to his caravan, Naecken teleported next to Tobias. "Hey, Nae, guess what?" Tobias said.
"You've been drinking, haven't you?" Naecken asked.
"Just a couple of bottles," Tobias said. "I can handle it, though. Great metabolism."
"What were you going to say?" Naecken asked.
"Well..." Tobias hit the floor face first, having passed out.
"What are we going to do with you?" Naecken asked as placed Tobias in his bed.
Later, sitting on one of the circus wagons, Naecken's thoughts were troubled. "They call me Naecken, they seem to know me, and I like them. But who are they, really? They act as if I have great powers, but all I know is that I can move without walking. And I seem to be far stronger than anyone I have seen here. The loud person with the big hat that says he owns the place asked me to move a few elephants, so I picked them up in their van and carried it to its parking spot. He 'ooohed' and now I am the strong guy of the ring."
As Naecken jumped down from the roof and walked inside, a dwarf snuck off into the shadows.
"Palindrome to Alphabet, I have a visual. Awaiting orders... Yes, sir... Of course, sir. Over and out."
