The pilot was still shaking with fear, and a dark patch could be seen on his trousers.
Naecken leaned forward. "State your purpose, or I will turn on the answering machine."
The poor man looked at him with bewildered eyes. "I tell you nothin'. And I have nothin' to tell." He was smiling despite his fear. Danny shook him a little.
Naecken looked confused for a second then tried again. "You will tell us one way or another. I will get you one way or another, I will get you, get you, get you..."
"Oh, fer cryin' out loud," said Pete. "We don't have time fer this."
Naecken sat down and complained about a returning headache.
Danny continued with the interrogation. It turned out that he was just a simple man who had taken up flying as a hobby.
Pete looked at Danny. "Eider dis man's a very good liar, or we're poor interrogators, b'y."
Tobias shrugged and gave the man a flat palm over the cheek. He wailed and muttered something about suing. Tobias grabbed the man's arms and said, "Go through his pockets. See if anything interesting can be found."
Naecken rummaged through the man's now-rather-smelly uniform and found a wallet. "Aha!" He looked happy with himself. "A card says something about EPS. What is that?"
"You gonna talk now?" Tobias asked as he backhanded the guy. "What are you doing with this card? Talk, dammit!"
"T.C., calm down," Naecken said. "We'll get info from this guy one way or the other."
"How about I just vibrate my hand through this guy's skull?" Tobias said. "I can get info from this guy."
"And kill him in the process," Danny said. "What's with you these days? You're awfully impulsive lately."
"It's... nothing," Tobias said, lying. No one really knew why he was acting strange lately. "And do you have any other suggestions on how to get this asshole to talk?"
