Suddenly, the mayhem begins. It comes from nowhere. One moment it is all perfectly normal. The scientific personnel and the soldiers meet in the barracks for lunch, the guards patrol the boundaries of the camp, Forrest and Potiomkin welcome the newly arrived metaheroes.
Then, all begins to crash down, like a poltergeist phenomenon. The barracks walls are crumpled and begin to be torn down, the equipment begins blowing up, and men and women are knocked to the ground by an invisible, irresistible force.
"Seven Senses, take cover!" orders Knight De Facto, turning his head around in a futile attempt to see the cause of the destruction. "What's happening?" he shouts.
The masked New Zealand member Hooligan responds, "They're invisible men. I can read their energy signatures, but they're incredibly fast!" And with these words, he's knocked down.
"They're not men... I can't feel their thoughts," says the masked Ace Martian from England, before also falling to the ground.
Disco Stave leaps here and there, waving his beating stick at unseen figures. But a powerful blow hits him, sending him outside the boundaries of the field, falling over a soft mound of fresh snow.
Under the sudden attack of the invisible demons, all of the soldiers, and even the costumed heroes, finally fall, unable even to understand the kind of enemies they were facing.
Some hundreds of feet from the camp, a voice out of nowhere shouts, quite sarcastically, "And that is that! You can come out now, fellow lovers of adventure!"
Rhyme Guardian turns to Exile. "It's safe?"
"Yes, we can go."
In a matter of minutes, all the unconscious bodies are tied up and gathered inside the helicopters.
"These... these are the Seven Senses! What are they doing here?" asks Rhyme Guardian.
"They are unconscious. I can't read their minds. Sorry," Exile explains.
"And it looks they are only six," adds the Invisible Man.
"Odd! There's no trace of Disco Stave. He usually is the first on the front line of the Seven Senses," Rhyme Guardian says, puzzled.
"Maybe he stayed home to do his homework!" laughs Exile.
"Mmm... I don't know," whispers Rhyme Guardian. "Exile, send a call to the others. They can come now. Meanwhile, we'll pilot the helicopters ten miles away from here, in case someone awakes before we finish."
Minutes later, Exile, Rhyme Guardian and the Invisible Man are back, to find the newly arrived Sente, Trout and Spark. "Time to work, guys," says Rhyme Guardian, turning his head.
Exile, Rhyme Guardian, Invisible Man, Sente, Trout and Spark have finished preparing everything, when Rhyme Guardian feels something strange. He takes a few steps back, unsure of something, then stares at the six Seven Senses members tied up on the ground.
"I have to see if they are real,
The fight was easy like a steal."
With that, Rhyme Guardian's fist lights up in bright orange. He pauses and shoots the full blast at the six young heroes. The blast goes right through them and strikes the ground. "Guys! Wait, it's not them."
The Trout says, "WHAT?"
Rhyme Guardian explains, "Their powers are to warp reality. We have been tricked! Quick, everyone move close together -- give them no space!"
Around the heroes, wild animals form out of thin air and attack them. Only a room away, members of the Seven Senses hold the images as best they can.
Generator is puzzled. "Rhyme Guardian... isn't he a hero?"
Albino Chameleon shrugs. "Must have turned bad. They do that kind of thing a lot!"
