Somewhere:
The Mandelovian Scorpion brothers sat in front of some monitors, confirming some information. Knell stood behind them. Eduardo/K'tl was standing in a corner with his arms crossed.
"Are you sssure they are gone?" Dr. Zachary Knell asked.
"I'm positive," White Scorpion said.
"Absssolutely sssure?" Knell insisted.
"I wouldn't trust my brother, but these computers are pretty effective. The Revolutionaries are not on this earth," Red Scorpion added.
"Exxxcccellent! I guesss our friend'sss plansss jussst got a little easssier with thossse foolsss gone!" Knell exclaimed.
"Should we tell him?" Red Scorpion asked.
"Of course not, you nitwit!" White Scorpion said. "He's in that big room again. He asked not to be disturbed while he stayed there."
"Besssidesss, he probably already knowsss. You know, when I firssst came here, all I wanted wasss revenge over thossse foolsss, but now, knowing hisss plansss, I--"
"Not all of them are gone," K'tl's double voice said.
"What do you mean?" Red Scorpion said. "The scan says they are all gone."
"I don't care what the scan says. I can feel him. M'xy is still alive, somewhere. His presence is weak, but I KNOW he's there."
"Hmm... Could you give us an approximate location?" White Scorpion asked. "We could send him a little surprise."
Shirley drove Mick to her home. Mick's head was still spinning, but the further they got from the circus, the better he felt.
The cat (that nice lady from the circus called him "Li'l Jo") wanted to stay at the circus, but Shirley took him back home, too. Shirley was silent during the ride. She seemed to be thinking about something.
As soon as they got home, Mick went to the guest room he was using and started looking for a pen and paper to ask Shirley what it was she had said about a circus. All he could remember was the cat jumping on his legs with a paper in its mouth, and then he found himself in the car with Shirley, a doctor and a woman he couldn't remember.
Mick picked up the pen and was about to start writing when Shirley came into the room and sat next to him.
"Mick," she said, "I-I've been thinking about a way to help you with your memory. It may be a stupid idea, but... do you mind if I give it a try?"
"Sure, go ahead," Mick wrote.
"Okay," Shirley said as she put her hand on Mick's face.
What the hell? Mick thought, just as she started getting her face closer to his, making Mick realize what her idea was. Oh!
And they kissed.
The cat watched from outside the door. One could almost say he was jealous.
They stopped kissing and looked at each other. "W-well..." Shirley says, "...did it help?"
Two seconds later, the wall exploded. Mick jumped over Shirley and protected her from the falling pieces of the wall and from whatever the hell caused the explosion.
Once the smoke cleared, Mick could see the figure of a big man standing where the wall had been. The huge man stepped foward, and his flashy spandex costume was revealed. He looked like one of those heroes in comic books, Mick thought.
"Wh-who are you?!" Shirley yelled. "What do you want?!"
The man made an arrogant smile as he raised one of his eyebrows. "My name, ma'am, is CAPTAIN DEATH -- and I'm here to take this man's head!"
