Votive ships

Votive skips are very common in churches in the islands of the Baltic sea. They are usually offered by sailors and fishermen communities to put their boat under the protection of God. In other countries, like France and Spain, votive ships are usullay offered to churches by sailors and fishermen who survived a shipwreck.
