Rauma


The Church of the Holy Cross is a mediaval church located in the Unesco World Heritage site of Rauma. The origin of the church dates from the XV century Franciscan monastery wooden church. The stone church was first built in the 1515 to 1520. The church was abandoned for one century at the time of reformation, but reopened as a Lutheran chaurch in 1640.

Rauma is accessible by train from Turku in 1h45'.

By sailing boat

There are three marinas in the SXK pilot book for Rauma. The Syvärauma marina has large cat-ways but is few hundred metres from the city centre.
