Mandal, with a population over 15,000, is the southern most municipality in Norway. The white houses in Mandal are typical of the architecture of Sørlandet, the southern coast of Norway. Mandal plaid a major role in the Norwegian economy because of its large salmon population in the Mandalselva river running through the city.
The guest harbour is centrally located, in close proximity of shopping streets and the typical white houses of the town and only a short walk from the 800 metre long white sand beach of Sjøsanden, the "Sand Sea".
Mandal is practical when you arrive directly from Denmark.
Mandal is located along the E39 highway connecting Kristiansand (48km away) and Stavanger. Kristiansand is well connected by flights and by ferry to Hirtshals in Denmark (Color Line or Fjord Line in summer ).
Staying in the harbour during te day is free. The fee only applies for boat staying from 18:00 tp 10:00 the following day. The harbour has full services.
