Kalmar

Kalmar is an important city that played an important role in the history of Sweden, particularly during the period of the Kalmar union which regrouped Denmark, Norway, Sweden and most of Finland under a single king during the XVI century.

The castle and the cathedral are of much interest.

The bridge linking Öland to the main Swedish land is in Kalmar.
