Karlskrona is a naval city built in the XVII century to move the Swedish navy from Stockholm to the south of Sweden in order to be closer to the battle fields and avoid that the fleet is stuck in ice during the winter.

Karlskrona is in the UNESCO World Heritage for its city planning and architecture.

The naval mseum is the most important in Sweden and is worth a visit.
