Artipelag
Artipelag is an art exhibition hall with 3,000 square metres of galleries that opened in 2012. The architecture of the building was designed to fit in the surrounding landscape. On the header picture, you can see the roof terrace covered with moss and lichen.
Artipelag has a visitor pier free of charge but without electricity of water. It is only a two hour cruise from Stockholm through the Baggensstäkket. It is the perfect spot for sailing after woork on a summer Friday evening.
Artipelag was founded on a donation by Björn Jakoson, the designer of the kangourou-like baby carrier and the owner of the BabybJörn company.
Artipelag host exhibitions that are changing around twice a year, as well as concerts, operas or circus. There is a cafeteria and a very renowned restaurant.

By public transport
A bus departs from Vasagatan 24 from Tuesdays to Sundays.
From May to September, Artipelag can be accessed by Boat.
By sailing boat
Artipelag is at the north east of the Baggensfjärden. It is located 2 miles from Saltsjöbaden and 10 miles from Stockholm, through the Baggensstäket. Coming through the narrow canal is a very scenic adventure. Mooring on catways in Artipelag.
