Fårö
Fårö is the island just off north of the island of Gotland. The island is separated by the narrow strait of Fårösund through which ferries are operating. Fårö is of major geographical and cultural interest that justifies a visit.
There is only one small fishing harbour on the island in Lauterhorn, on the west coast, that can accomodate up to 25. Alternatively, the Fårösund marina and Fårösund båtklubb, on the main land just off the ferry jetty can be used.

Hunden, the dog, is probably one of the best known rock on the island.You can find it just across the bay of the Lauterhorn harbour.
Rauks on Fårö are the result of the erosion by the sea of the softer lime structure around harder pieces of limestone. Combined with the land uplift following the melting of the gaciers over Scandinavia, it shaped the landscape of the northern coast of Fårö.
Helgemannens fishermen village
Helgemannens is an old fihermen village with 15 well preserved fishing huts. The small fishing village was active in the XIXth and beginning of XXth century. Local farmers were using it in spring and autumn to catch fishes.
Lauterhorn fishing harbour
Lauterhorn is the fishing habour on the Island of Fårö. It operates as guest harbour during the summer season.

Bergman Center
The Bergman Center was established in 2009 and is is operated by a Foundation on Fårö island devoted to Bergam's oeuvre. Every year, the Bergman week is organised there. The next Bergman week will be taking place from 24 to 30 June 2019.
