Kumlinge church

The church in Kumlinge is a typical archipelago church buit in the 1300s' and devoted to St. Anna, the Virgin Mary's mother. The church is far from the shore and from the village.

The wall paintings from the 1400s' are well preserved and unique in Finland.

Getting there

By public transport

Kumlinge is not accessible by public transport. However, it can be accessed by car and ferries, from Mariehamn in 2h32 and from Turku in 5h12.

By sailing boat

There is no difficulties accessing the Kumligne marina from the fairway. The Torsholm marina (60.290035, 20.787045) on the north east side of the island and indicateds on the natucial chartsno longer exists (as of July 2019).
