Lövgrund chapel

The Lövgrund fishermen chapell in Lövgrund was built in 1831. It is a simple wood chapel covered with white painted panels. There is a free-standing bell tower. The bell was casted in 1864.

The chapel was used twice a year for worshiping, on mid-summer and one Sunday in August. This is still the case today.

A celsius thermometer and a Toricelli barometer are hung on the wall of the church (left). In addition, there is a map of Lövgrund indicating the owners of the houses on the island (centre). On the right, there is a description of the marks put on fishing gears to identify their owners.
