Trysunda Chapel

The Trysunda village was established in the XVIIth century by firshermen from Gävle. As in the other fishermen villages chapels along the Högakusten, the chapel was used during winter to store the fishing gear. The chapell was originally painted in red. The paintings are from Olof Gåhlin. Paintings on the north wall are form the Old testament while paintings on the eastern and southern walls are from the New testament. The painting on the western wall depicts Saint George fighting the dragon.
